Financial Information

Pursuing a Master’s degree is a serious career and financial decision. The combination of affordability, quality, and career perspective of the MSIT degree give the students excellent return of investment. We are dedicated to provide financial resources to help our students to achieve their academic goals.

Out of State Tuition Waiver - Limited number of out of state tuition waivers are available to incocming students with 3.25 or better GPA or existing students with 3.75 or better GPA. Details on qualification, policy and applicaiton. 

Graduate Research Assistship (GRA) -  GRA comes with tutition waiver up to 12 credit hours and stipend up to $5500 per semester. Details and applicaitons.

    NOTE: Students may register as in-state students only upon showing that they have been a legal resident of Georgia for a period of at least 12 months immediately preceding the date of registration. Documents to validate residency may be requested. (See catalog for resident definition)

    Questions concerning fee structure and payment of fees should be directed to the Bursar's Office at 470.578.6419. Information regarding various sources of student financial assistance is available through the Financial Aid Office at 470.578.6074.

  • The MSIT and all graduate certificate programs are financial aids eligible. Always check with the Office of Student Financial Aid for the most up to date and official information.

    If you are thinking about applying for a Graduate Program at KSU, you should complete the FAFSA so that potential sources of financial aid can be identified for you. You should complete the FAFSA about the same time that you complete the Graduate Application for Admissions. Deadlines for completing the FAFSA are:

    • Summer

  • There is a "window" of opportunity to apply for scholarships. That window usually opens around late November and closes in early March. Follow this link a list of scholarships, specifically for graduate students: Graduate Scholarships Info.

  • KSU is pleased to offer financial assistance to our graduate students which includes Out of State Tuition Waiver and Graduate Assistantship: Graduate Research Assistant (GRA), Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA). Please follow the instructions below to apply for those positions. Do Not email your resume or send unsolicited messages to individual faculty or administrators. Repeated violators may be directly disqualified from financial assistance programs.
